Same Old Mistake

I have missed a lot of bird photos through the same old mistake. I don’t use a fast enough shutter speed. I try to be ready to shoot quickly when I encounter a bird to photograph. Too often, I forget to check the shutter speed, so the image is blurry. The images below of birds taking off were shot at 1/400th second, not fast enough to freeze the motion. I will eventually learn. I should use at least a shutter speed of 1/1000th second.

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.”

— Alan Watts

“To exist is to change,
To change is to mature,
To mature is to go on
Creating oneself endlessly.”

— Henri Bergson
