Keystone WMA - 09/05/25

I’m on the shore of a long pond. I’m at the west end, sitting in the sun—intermittent when the gapps in the clouds permit. My cap almost blew off until I tightened it. Somebody mowed or otherwise cleared where I’m sitting in a grove of old, gnarly oaks.

This is what used to be the Kelly Land and Cattle Company. It’s now the Keystone Wildlife Management Area. All this land was turned over to the state and will not be developed.
