A Storm Followed Me Home

I went out to chase a storm. Or, I should say that I went to a spot where I thought a storm would appear. Unfortunately, I left much too early. Then, I lacked the patience to wait for the storm, so I headed home—a storm built up behind me. I didn’t get a good look at it until I was almost home and stopped at a parking lot of a small state natural area. This is what I saw:

The storm that followed me home. Some closer-up images are below.

As Sherlock Holmes once said, “It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly, one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.”

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in A Scandal In Bohemia

Today, a person could paraphrase thusly: “. . . one begins to twist facts to suit conspiracy theories.”
