Ice Fishing and Winona

I travelled to Winona, Minnesota. The highlight of the trip was stumbling upon the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. I was stunned to find out that they had an exhibit of the photography of Edward Burtynsky. I never dreamed that I would ever see his work in person. His theme is the effects of our species on the environment. He photographs massive subject and makes massive prints. All the prints on display at the museum where five-feet by five-feet or larger. Stunning. Check out his work here.

It was a fine, warm day for visiting Winona. One of my shots was of ice fishermen on the Mississippi. That reminded me of a few other shots of ice fisherman I’ve taken in the past. I’ve posted my ice fishing photos below. I also posted a few more photos I took in Winona.
