Skippers

Skippers are small butterflies in the Hesperiidae family. Their name derives from their quick, darting flight. They have large bodies relative to their wing size. They are common and not difficult to photograph if you can get close enough. I’ve tried my best to name them correctly but make no guarantees. I used “Butterflies of the North Woods: Minnesota, Wisconsin, & Michigan” by Larry Weber for identification.
