Orange Things

Butterfly Weed

I went to a large wildlife preserve on Saturday. My plan was to photograph orange butterfly weed. When I got home and edited the day’s photographs, I noticed that I’d photographed other orange stuff. Some, like the blue harebell, have only a touch of orange. The water lily has no orange, but the undersides of lily pads were orange. The bird, an american bittern, has feathers that are an orangish brown.
