Hedge Bindweed
The first time I saw the hedge bindweed flower, I thought it was a species of wild morning glory. I was wrong but close. It is in the morning-glory family, Convolvulaceae, but in a different genus. Hedge bindweed is in genus Calystegia; the morning glories are in the genus Ipomoea.
Hedge bindweed is a vine that twines up the stems of shrubs and dense thickets of weeds, producing gorgeous, pink and white flowers throughout the summer.
