I picked two quirky songs for this video. The first is “The Secret” by Cayetano. I chose it because it uses a sample from an old radio broadcast of a mystery, and I’ve been reading a lot of mysteries lately. (As good a reason as any other for choosing a song.) The sample is from a radio broadcast featuring Boris Karloff on Inner Sanctum Mystery which was popular from 1941 through 1952. I selected the second song, “nyc in 1940,” because it and “The Secret” refer to New York City in the first half of the 20th Century. (Another good reason for choosing a song.) Did I mention that I like the songs?
