Fog On a County Road

On my way home yesterday at dusk, I ran into heavy fog on Country Road E. I turned of the main road to see if I could find something in the fog that would make a good photo. I shot the two below:

A week ago on the same road and also at dusk, I drove into heavier fog. Visibility was almost zero. I was tense, even a bit frightened, helpless because there was no place to stop or pull over; the shoulder was too narrow, and I would have risked being hit by other cars. And in the midst of the pea-soup fog, a car passed me. I was astounded and angry. After 20 or 30 minutes, the fog thinned and I was able to get home without incident.
